How Do I Erase a Large Group of Folders?

I have a large group of folders that I have created in Entourage to
store various messages on various topics over the years. I now no
longer need them. How can I easily erase them from my system? Is there
a way to highlight and drag them to the trash or highlight a group of
folders and delete them?

I think I know the answer as I just had to delete a folder. Select it
and go to the Edit menu and you will see about 3/4 down the listing a
command called "Delete Folder"

That's fine for a single folder. Why can't I highlight multiple folders
or a large group of folders and delete all of them at once? Every other
program in the world lets you highlight multiple sentences, paragraphs,
or folders? Why doesn't Entourage for Mac?

When you delete a folder, it also deletes subfolders. One solution would be
to drag the folders into one folder to delete.
