How do I express numbers with compass degree symbols?

I am preparing a presentation on compass use for aviators, need to insert
many values as degrees (ie. 360 degrees). How do I get powerpoint to
automatically insert the degree symbol?

Compass format in 'objects' would also be helpful.

I am uncertain how to have PPT recognize a number as a 'degree' and
automatically insert the degrees symbol - but you manually insert by going
to INSERT >> SYMBOL >> locate the 'degrees' symbol and click insert. You can
then select it in the text box and copy it to your paste board for easy
insertion later.

You can use Insert > Symbol to get the degree symbol. Then you can just copy
and paste it any time that you need it.
90° 45°, etc.

Or, you can use Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect to set, for example, the %
symbol to be replaced with the degree symbol. Then you would just type 90% 45%
and PowerPoint will substitute and give you 90° 45°. Warning, PowerPoint is
very obedient and will always replace the percent symbol with the degree symbol
until you remove the instructions.
