how do i get deleted messages to be automatically remove to delet.

I want to know how to get my deleted messages to be automatically removed to
my deleted folder. Right now, the messages just stay in my in-box with a
line through them.

That's the way IMAP accounts work in Outlook. There's no way to change it.

You can change the view to not display deleted messages under View ->
Current View -> hide messages marked for deletion. Just don't forget to
purge regulalry... You might want to experiment with AutoArchive to see
whether it will automatically pourge deleted IMAP messages.
