How do I get enough memory to open my distribution list?

Apparently I put too many contacts in my distribution list and now it will
not allow me to access it at all. How can I fix this problem?

Not plausible. There is no such limit. More likely you corrupted the DL.

There are situations where approx 150-165 contacts is the limit of entries
in a personal distribution list.
However you can make multiple lists and then add the name of the other lists
to your main list,
this way you get around the numerical limit.
