How do I get Excel to open a workbook by double-clicking a workbo.

For some reason, Excel will no longer do this. The problem only occurs on one
user on my computer, and only with Excel. It seems that spaces are not
accepted in pathnames, and Excel returns a message that it cannot find the
file <some part of the filename>. If the path is renamed (all folders and
files) so that no spaces exist, Excel WILL open the file, but also display a
message that it cannot find it.
This does not happen with any other user account, and on this account, it
doesn't happen with any other applications.

Thanks, Nick. That helped part of the problem. Now, the file opens, but I
still get an error message. My files are in My Documents>Excel Documents, and
I get an error message telling me that Excel ca't find <My Documents
path>\Excel.xls . very odd, but at least the workbook will now open. This
used to work properly, too...

Thanks, Nick. That did help with part of the problem. Now, at least, the
workbook will open, but I still get an error message. My Excel stuff is
located in My Documents\Excel Documents. When I click the icon, Excel now
opens the workbook, but still gives me the message: Could not find <My
Documentspath>\Excel.xls . Don't know why this is happening. It worked, until
last week sometime.
