How do I get my Arial font off Bold in Office XP Word?

In Office XP Word, I can't get my arial font to be unbolded. This is my
Normal Style font and the last time I used at a few weeks ago it was fine.
Today however it is on permanent bold. In fact looking at this screen, Arial
fonts are either bold or in italics. What's going on? Any suggestions?

Probably because bog standard Arial has disappeared and the two that remain
are Arial Bold and Arial Italic (though I'm not sure that the latter
actually exists - it may do). Are you sure you have vanilla Arial still
installed
