How do I get rid of a document that word defaults to whenever I p.

Tired of Trying

I cut and pasted a document from excel into MS word, as I was trying to use
it ultimately on our Web site. Now, everytime I hit my MSWord icon to get
into the program, the material from Excel appears, almost like a default
screen. How in heaven's name do I get rid of this? Thanks to anybody who can
help!
