how do I get rid of clippy?

P

pc

I was just given a nice P4 system with office XP Pro installed.

Unfortunately, it has that damn Clippy help beast installed.

I have tried the add/remove programs, change option, but I'm not sure
which option?

I can remove HELP, but I just want to remove the excruciatingly
annoying animation.

Suggestions?

You can uninstall it if you like, but just to get rid of it, it is
sufficient to

Right click on Clippy
Select Options to get the options dialog,
Show the Options tab if not shown by default
UNcheck "Use the Office Assistant"
Click OK, and away he/she will go until explicitly invited back
