How do I get rid of spare lines in an excel spread sheet?

I have down loaded a list from another source which has two extra lines
between entries - I wish to shrink the spread sheet to only include the
necessary data I am a novice at excel and find it daunting. please make the
answer easy to follow. Thank you

The solution might depend on if there are 2 extra lines in total, or if
there are 2 extra lines after each piece of useful data.

You can delete the entire row by going to edit>delete..>entire row.

Or you can select the cells that you want deleted and delete them the same
way but you'll have to decide whether to shift cells to fill the deleted
cells either UP or to the LEFT.

If you have 2+ columns that contain data that must stay together, be sure to
select a cell from each column to keep the data together.

If you have 2 extra lines here and there, you can also sort the data (select
all of it; data>sort) and it will consolidate all of the similarly blank
lines.

Select Column A and F5>Special>Blanks>OK

Now with blanks selected from above operation, Edit>Delete>Entire Rows
