How do I get rid of the "time sent" or received heading?

The list of email messages in my entourage inbox and other mail folders has headings saying when the messages were sent or received. For example, "2 weeks ago," "Friday," "Yesterday," etc. I find that this takes up too much space and is annoying. Is there a way to not display this information?

In 3 pane view, you can customize the middle column using "Arrange by:"

Select something like Subject.

There is a Preference --> General where you can check show relative dates,
(today, yesterday), but un-checking doesn't seem to change the behavior.
