How do I import a PST file created in Outlook 03 into Outlook 02

R

Richard

I have exported a PST file of outlook contacts created in Outlook 2003 to a
flash drive. I am now trying to import the PST file into Outlook 2002 on
another desktop but have been unable to do so. For some reason I have been
unable to browse to Outlook in order to chose Outlook as the program to open
up the PST file. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Best regards.

So many mistakes in such a short time.
First, you never try to open any PST file from Windows Explorer, so you
would never need to "browse" to Outlook. You open PST file from within
Outlook itself.
Second, you never transfer Outlook data by importing and exporting. By doing
so you created a file that has both lost data and is incompatible with all
earlier versions of Outlook.
While in Outlook 2003 you must create a PST file in the earlier (Outlook
97-2002) format and copy your Contacts into that file.
