How do I import from Lotus organizer 2.1 into outlook 2003

I want to transfer the information contained in Lotus organizer 2.1 address
book to the contacts portion of outlook 2003. When I try the import wizard
the following error message comes up: "file error has occurred in the comma
seperator values (DOS) translator while initaiting a translator to build a
field map."

Doesn't Organiser allow you to do an export to a CSV file? If it does, try
doing that first and then an import.

Ok can you walk me thru the process I've tried to export to a CSV file but
I'm not exactly sure if I'm even doing that correctly. Thanks

I'm afraid I haven't used Organiser for many many years......If you've
exported the file correctly, you should be able to open it in Excel.
Have a look there and see if it's got what you /think/ it should have in
it. You might then create a fictional contact in Outlook and do the
same, and compare the fields. You can then adjust the Organiser csv to
be the same as the Outlook csv. That way the import should go smoothly.

Awesome, it worked. First I exported the organizer file to "my data source"
file, as a csv file. Next I imported it into Outlook by following the wizard
by choosing "import from another program"; "tab seperated values (windows)";
followed the rest of the wizard and it worked!! Thank You!!
