how do I import holiday info into v.X?

I saw several earlier threads on this topic, with no simple answers.
I am not up to writing AppleScript or using BBedit. Is there a source
of directly importable holiday calendar files? If not, does anyone
have a "converter" from Apple iCal or CalendarMaker holiday files? Or
is there a way to create them with a "normal" Mac text editor, like
Word v.X or TextEdit? My newly installed Entourage calendar came up
with NO holiday info. Is there supposed to be some on the install
disk, and where do I find it?

Did you try the "Import..." item in the "File" menu?

I tried the File/Import function of Entourage. As documented in
previous threads, it basically does not work, at least on iCal and
Calendarmaker format files. I am seeking a source of holiday files
for which it DOES work.

It works on its own (Office) Holiday file, which has options for a zillion
different countries. You have to select "Import holidays", not "Import from
a text file" or anything like that.

If you have a tab-delimited text file, there would be a way to import using
my shareware Export-Import Entourage X scripts (either Other Calendar to X
or via Excel) but it would be quite cumbersome to do.
