how do i insert a header in powerpoint?

hi all, i have a PowerPoint project due in class, and i can't seem to get a
header onto my slides. The footer was no problem but i just can't get the
header. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Headers are on the Notes and Handouts. If you want a header on your slides,
you'll need to go to View > Master > Slide Master and place text boxes at the
top that contain what you want. They will show on all slides. If you don't
want them to show on the title page, you'll need to go to Insert > New Title
Master (while viewing the Slide Master) and then apply that master to your first
slide.
