How do i insert squared sign in maths

I think a "2" in superscript should work. I've used that before. .
For example: 32+4=13 or 3(2)+4=13

You don't mention what program you are using.

For MS Word, enter the base number; Press and hold Ctrl , press and hold
Shift key, press + key. You are now in Superscript mode. Press 2 and it will
appear as a superscript. Press the same key sequence to return to standard
mode.
