How to install Office2003 and retain XP?

I have some questions/concerns on downloading the above listed trial
software. I currently have XP but Corel products on my personal PC. Quattro
Pro, Wordperfect, and Presentation are the alternative products to the
preferred MS products. I purchased the Corel alternative software due to the
price being less than half MS. Most of my work as a Controller in higher
education has been in Excel. Since Corel WP12 has an Excel mode feature and
up until now, the vast majority of Excel functions have been lavailable in
Corel's converted "Excel" mode, it has been adequate for my needs. However, I
plan more advanced analysis and reporting using templates, macros, analysis
tools, Visual Basic, etc., none of which will convert or work in Corel's
product. Word and Powerpoint also have unsupported functions.

I want to try the 60 day trial Standard Office 2003 version and see if the
additional benefits will be worth the significantly added expense. My
questions/concerns:

1. Is it possible to download the 2003 Office software without removing or
replacing my XP? Or how do I check to verify it will add Office 2003 without
replacing my XP and Corel? Also, I use Outlook Express as part of my XP
package. Will that be removed or is there a way to ensure that program is
retained as well?

2. Is it possible to install the trial software for only Excel, Word, and
Powerpoint separately? If so, would that be safer to install these programs
separately?

3. What features or functions are not provided for in this trial version
that would be if purchased at the end of the 60 day trial period?

Please advise so I can proceed ASAP.

Thanks.

You can only try for 30 days not 60 days.
1. Is it possible to download the 2003 Office software without removing or
replacing my XP? Or how do I check to verify it will add Office 2003 without
replacing my XP and Corel? Also, I use Outlook Express as part of my XP

When you say XP do you mean Ofice XP or Windows XP? If you mean Windows
XP then Office 2003 will not replace it becasue Windows XP is an
operating system required to run Office 2003. If you mean Office XP
then it may repalace it if you are not careful. I would not mix the two
if you don't intend to buy it after the trial period. As far as Corel
Office is concerned, it is from a different company and it should not be
affected.
2. Is it possible to install the trial software for only Excel, Word, and
Powerpoint separately? If so, would that be safer to install these programs
separately?

Yes is is possible but I suggest to install Office Professional 2003 as
this can e removed easilly in one click! Also, when you buy it after
the rial period, always buy Office professional as the price
differential is quite minimal. If you have Microsoft Works 6, 7, 8, 8.5
then upgrade of Office 2003 will be cheaper.
3. What features or functions are not provided for in this trial version
that would be if purchased at the end of the 60 day trial period?

Trial version is a full version with no limitation. Also, it can be
converted to full version buy changing the key which can be bought
online from Microsoft.
Please advise so I can proceed ASAP.

Hope this proves useul.
