How do I install Accounting Professional 2008 on Vista 64-bit?

R

Richard Warren

First attempt failed with SQL Express not installing, failing the entire rest
of the installation. I changed the setup EXE properties to use XP
compatibility and ran it again and most of the installation worked except the
Payroll installation.

The email accompanying the download of the trial edition explicitly says I
can, "Enjoy free phone support for 90 days: Simply call 1-866-827-1619.** Ask
us questions, call with compliments or tell us what we need to do better.
Really, we want to hear from you. Now, when did you last hear that from a
business?" Thinking that actually getting it successfully installed was
fairly important to the evaluation, I called that number only to be informed
that since it was a trial version, there was no phone support irrespective of
what any email I may have received said.

This product is making quite a first impression...none of it positive...

Hi Richard,

You may want to use the link below to also post this in the MS Office Accounting discussion group. The 90 day support is for the
purchased product.

It wasn't clear which payroll service you were looking into. The ability to manage payroll via Excel is built in. The ability to
run payroll is an Add-on service, not available in the trial product.
