How do I learn to use the visual basic editor?

I want to create a document that will be used in various cases but am unfamiliar with the visual basics editor. Does Microsoft offer an online class? I've looked the through the help options but didn't find them to be of assistance.

I think that if you mentioned exactly what it is you want to achieve with
your "document that will be used in various cases" then someone will give
you specific advice.
It may turn out that you do not need VBA at all!
