How do I link 2 presentations for the web.

I have a presentation that links to another presentation. The link works fine
in "regular" PC mode. Now, I'm ready to port both presentations to the web.
I've already tried saving both presentations as single web pages, but
obviously that doesn't give me a working link -- there's nothing in either
htm file that knows where each other resides. How do I link 2 presentations
for the web?

P.S. I'm using PP2003.

Thanks in advance for all repies.

Good morning Steve,

Your "bizarre sounding idea" seems promising -- I'll give it a try. However,
since the "calling" presentation links to multiple slides in the linked
presentation -- I'm linking from thumbnail pictures to enlarged pictures in
the linked presentation -- I'll have to link to the specific .htm slide file
for each thumbnail. That will be an interesting challenge. Anyway, I'll give
it a shot.

This is the same presentation that I originally had the question about how
to replay a slide on the CD version. I'm still working on that. With the HTML
version, there's an obvious -- to me -- workaround, but I'm a stubborn cuss,
so I'll exhaust all efforts trying to solve it first.

Thanks again for the help.

Your "bizarre sounding idea" WORKS! I'm able to link right down to the
specific slides that contain the enlarged pictures related to the thumbnails.

Great idea!

Thanks

You posted your caveat at the identical time that I posted success using your
suggestion (12:16 PST). Anyway, it works great and thanks again.

I had previously downloaded the demo of ppt2html and took a look. Since my
presentation includes animation and sound, it doesn't seem like it would work
in this case.

You're right of course -- but you knew that. In my multitasking mode, while
selecting "Save As Web Page," and seeing the file type at the bottom of the
ensuing dialogue box, I forgot that I chose to "Save A Copy and Customize Its
Contents." Anyway, it works. Thanks again. Now, back to the issue of
replaying a slide with animation when executing the presentation from
pptviewer.exe. I've got a "solution," but it's UGLY! I'll let you know if I
can refine it.

Thanks again,
Joe
