To whom it may concern,
I am trying to link a pdf doc from a local folder to my powerpoint
presentation so that my powerpoint document is not soo big it will take 10
minutes just to open. So I have been trying to make a link but each time the
whole file gets copyed and the size of my pp presentation is huge. is there
a way just to make a link , kind of like a website link or excel...

thank you
best

Steiner,

First you should have create a folder to save your final PowerPoint
presentation, and please put the PDF file which you'd like to be linked
in the same folder.

then Simply Click Insert -> Object...
Select "Create from file"
Click "Browse" to import the PDF file from the
folder mentioned above.
And check the box "Link" , thus the pdf is just
linked with the presentation, and you can also check the box "Display
as Icon" , this will add a icon of the pdf with the hyperlink point to
the target file.

Hope it helps!
