How do I link to different movie tracks on a DVD

I need to run three separate movies at different points
within the same presentation. It has to be from DVD
because the resolution and sound quality needs to be the
highest available, (its being projected onto a huge
screen for a very large audience)

PowerPoint doesn't play DVD's natively. You have two options:

1. Use an ActiveX DVD control. (Search with Google and it'll turn up a
number of hits.)

2. Rip the specific parts you want to an Mpeg-2 file on your hard drive and
insert them as normal.
