How do I link to specific PowerPoint slides?

Can anyone provide guidance on how to link to specific PowerPoint slides? I
have a 180+ slide presentation and want to link to only a few slides at a
time. For example, from a given web page I may want to (hyper)link to slides
36 through 45. Is it true that I must first save the presentation as HTML?
Does that result in a single HTML file or several files?

I'm asking in this group because I'm thinking a little coding, with which I
have no experience, is required to pull this off. So, let me ask: How do I do
it?

Thanks for your help, folks.

When you save as HTML, each slide is saved as individual HTML page, which you can then link to. The
HTML format allow anyone to view your slide presentation, plus give you the control over which slide
can be viewed and the order.

If you place the actual PowerPoint presentation on your site, you can only link to the actual
presentation file, which must then download to the user's PC prior to being viewed, and each user
must have a copy of PowerPoint or the PowerPoint Viewer installed to view your presentation.

This is really not a FP related issue, you should consider posting to the PowerPoint newsgroup, as
well as maybe looking into using:

"Microsoft Producer 2003 for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 to capture and synchronize audio,
video, slides, and images, then preview and publish a rich media presentation virtually anywhere for
viewing in a Web browser."

Can you provide the code that will "give me control over which slide can be
viewed and the order"?

Thank you.

You would create standard hyperlinks to each slide (page) generated by PowerPoint when you have it
save the presentation as HTML. The order is the order that you list the links in or you can use a
meta-refresh tag.

As I stated, this is not a FP related issue, for the best help, post to the PowerPoint newsgroup.

How about doing the following, save your current presentation as many times as needed, then with
each copy to delete the slides that you don't need, then save a HTML, then you just need to link to
the index page.
