How do I make a venn diagram without overlapping ovals?

I know this can be done because someone created one for me. I do not have the
saved item on my computer. I have to use them occasionally, and I need the
bottom oval to show the entire oval to create the diagram.

If you can share what Word version is used to complete the tasks, someone
might be able to give more specific information. In most versions of Word,
you can use the AutoShape feature. Just access AutoShape, and insert a
circle into the document. From that point, access the circle's properties
(through and inverted click/toggle). In those properties, choose the tab for
modifying the size. Increase the "vertical", and leave the "horizontal",
unless you want a more narrow oval. Once you've modified the shape, remember
to save the size adjustment, by adding a checkmark for future copying. Then
you won't have to create the oval every time. AutoShape has all kinds of
built-in features, which come with most factory pre-installs.

My version is Word 2003. I just need all the lines of both ovals to show, but
one blocks out part of the other. I don't see any options to do that in the
circle's properties.

Position the two ovals or circles or whatever shapes so that one
is partially on top of the other. Right-click on the "on top"
shape, left-click on Colors and Lines | Fill: Transparency: 70%
or 80% or more to suit your preference | OK.
