How do I make only periods on my screen appear bigger?

For ease of reading on my screen, I want only the periods a lot larger and
bolder, i.e., Lucinda Console, etc. We use Times New Roman 12 at work, and
the periods colons are so faint I can barely see them. I do not want to
enlarge everything. I'm trying to find an autocorrect option to do this. I
created a macro to do after the fact, but I'm not thrilled with this option.
There has to be an autocorrect option that when a period is typed it is
changed to another bolder font.

Format a period the way that you want it and then select it (alone) The
from the Tools menu select Auto Correct Options and go to the AutoCorrect
tab. You should see a period in the "With:" control. Click on the
"Formatted text" radio button and the period will be replaced with the one
that you formatted. Enter a period into the "Repace:" control and then
click on the Add button.

Note, you will probably need some way of replacing all of these formatted
periods with ordinary ones when you print the document.

Yes, alas, I suffer for the same problem. I fixed my problem by buying
a pair of reading glasses!

What! You don't NEED reading glasses. Yep, that's what I said, too.
Because the screen isn't blury to me, but I have trouble distinguishing
a comma from a period. The reading glasses improved the CONTRAST
enough to solve my problem.

I also routinely change the screen from Print view to Normal view,
which increases the size of the document.
