How do I make Word my default for receiving scans?

I am using MS Word 94, HP combo printer- scanner hp psc 2410xi, and hp
pavilion a465c computer.

When I scan anything into my pc it comes in as an entry to my graphic syst
em (Albums v. 5). Sometimes I need to scan in a writing which I need in MS
Word, so I can make changes in a scanned document.

I would like to be able to change from one to the other default for the scans.

You need to scan into OCR software, there may be something in the package of
software that came with your scanner.
