How do I open a .pub file using Microsoft Office Word 2007? If I cannot do

You don't, you use MS Publisher.

You use Publisher to open .pub files...there is no other way.

Hmmm. In an attempt to download a trial version of MS Publisher, Microsoft
directed me to download Microsoft Office Word 2007. I assumed that Publisher
must be included. Apparently I am mistaken. Is there a way to get MS
Publisher as a trial? Thank you.

Maybe the following site will help you
download the Publisher 2007 trial.

Microsoft Office Publisher 2007

If you need to edit the .pub file...you
need Publisher but if you simply wish
to view it...you could upload it to the
following site and there are several
volunteers here who would be happy
to open the file and convert it to a .pdf
for you.

"YouSendIt"
http://www.yousendit.com/

All you have to do is enter an e-mail
address in the Recipient field and
click the browse button to select the
file you wish to upload. Then click the
"Send It" button.

The next screen that appears will give
you the download link. Just copy/paste
it into your newsgroup reply.
