How do I play two movies at once?

I have two video clips (.avi I believe) in a PowerPoint slide that I'd like
to play at the same time when I click once. Does anyone have any suggestions
(rather than downloading editing software to combine the files into one
movie)?

Place them both on the slide and set the second one to "Play with Previous".
