How do i project powerpoint without presenter view

I can project using presenter view - and i can present my powerpoint show by
view show - but as the show is being shown not in presenter view - i cannot
see my slides on my laptop running? Is there a way to view what you are
projecting on teh screen without using presenter view???

'Toggle' the view from your laptop via the monitor settings. Your laptop will
(normally) provide laptop, monitor (external device), and both. Use a
function key and the 'fn' button to toggle. Usually this is fn + F5 (view).
Toggle each time until you reach the setting you want. You can toggle back
and forth as needed, i.e., laptop before your start, then screen, then both.
