How do I put the favorites icon in the left panel of the file ope.

when I click file open, the dialog box has an icon for my documents and
several others on the left that I dont want. I want to add an icon for
favorites and several others. How do I do that?

I assume you are doing this from within MSWord2003. If
so, do File Open, then in the "Look in" box at the top,
browse to your profile: C:\Documents and Settings\your-
login-name\. Left click once on the Favorites icon to
select it. Then at the top right, click on Tools. From
the dropdown menu, select Add to My Places. Your
Favorites icon will now appear in that left pane. You can
move it up in the list by right clicking on it and
choosing Move Up.
