How do I recover my lost product key for MS Office Prof?

I have lost my original MS Office Professional disk and its packaging. I need
to upgrade my MS Office XP software. How do I find out my original product
key?

If you want to upgrade to a newer version of Office, then it
doesn't matter what your old product key is, because you only
need to enter the product key for the newer version when you
install the newer version.
