How do I remove fax numbers from display name in outlook 2003?

How can I remove the fax number and gain access to e-mail address's in
outlook 2003? Because the ax number is listed in the display name I can not
use the email address.

Remove it where? Fax numbers would in no way prevent access to email
addresses. What are you seeing that makes you think they are?
