How do I retain contacts history in the Outlook "To" panel?

When I enter the first letter of a contact's name I used to get a list of all
previous contacts I had sent emails to. Since having work done on my PC I no
longer have this facility. Can you advise how I can restore and retain
contacts for more than a day?

Never keep your Outlook version a secret.

Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options>Suggest names while
completing To, Cc, and Bcc field.
