how do I retrieve a mistakenly deleted slide in powerpoint?

I tried a change format for the slide I was working on, but decided to reject
it. When I closed the test format for that last slide, I was asked whether I
wanted to save my changes, and clicked NO. All the slides I had done since
my last session were deleted.

I believe that you have lost whatever you were working on.You might want to try this for future sessions. http://skp.mvps.org/seqsave.htm
