How do I save macros so that when I leave Powrpoint and come back.

When I save macros in Powerpoint, leave the program, and later come back, I
cannot use the saved macros. They show up when I press alt-F8, but when I
choose them, I'm taken to the Visual Basic program for de-bugging. Thus,
every time I come back to a saved file I have to redo my macros. Isn't there
a way to save them so when I come back they'll work?

Hi Cliff,

It sounds like you have not set your Macro security correctly. Try opening
just PowerPoint, adjusting the Macro security to Medium, close PowerPoint,
then open the presentation that you have the macros in.

You should get a warning about using macros. If you click OK, then they
should run.

For more information on Macros and security, you may want to read the MS
White paper at

(Please note this is a typical MS long link that will probably break.)
