How do I scan into applications in order to use Word to complete .

Ron a

Being disabled with MS and most difficulty with use of my hands, I've had to
complete many forms which have caused <pain, etc. I've tried desperately to
scan these in order to use keyboard and more easily complete with fewer
fingers. I expect that many others have encountered this diilemna
and hope that there is some solution for all. Your help will be much
appreciated.

There is no easy solution to this. The amount of work involved for
individual forms would not normally make it a viable choice, but if you wish
to persevere, scan the form and insert it as an image in Word and set it
behind text. With your image as a background, you can complete the form by
laying a table over it filling the cells of the table.

Your printer driver will almost certainly not allow you to print to the edge
of the paper so your completed form will be smaller than the original, which
may not be acceptable if that form is itself going to be scanned and read by
computer.

The corporate version of Finereader OCR software comes with a form filling
tool. This is not strictly intended for the purpose you have in mind, but it
does make the building of fillable areas on a scanned form somewhat simpler
than the Word method.
