We have many documents where the List Bullet style has been defined and used but when you select List Bullet, the toolbar button shows numbers not bullets and when we save it to an XML database, we get some very strange Unicode characters

I know how to solve the problem manually - just select the range with the List Bullet style and click the Bullet button. I have recorded the macro but my missing link is how do I select the range(s) with the List Bullet style please
Regard
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

If "List Bullet" is a listed style, this may get you on your way:

With activedocument
With .range.find
.text = ""
.style = "List Bullet"
'other find parameters here
.execute
end with
end with

HTH and have a great day!
