How do I send a message to multiple distribution lists?

B

Beverly Blake

Frequently I send an email to multiple distribution lists that I have
created. I cannot seem to copy or add the four distribution groups to the
email I want to send. Any suggestions.

I can. You never told us why you can't. Just select the DL's from the
Outlook Address Book and put them in the To: field.
Provide more details. Include your Outlook version.

Okay, I create the distribution lists in my Contacts folder, which I share
with several people. If each user of this Shared Contacts folder put the
Shared Contacts folder in their Address Book, the users do not receive the
updates when I make changes to the lists in the Shared Contacts folder. The
users have to obtain the distribution lists from their Folders List, and
taking them from the Folders List does not let them click and drag or copy to
the To: filed.

taken from the the Folders List, we click and drag or copy to the To: filed;
however when pasted there, the names of the list are not bolded and
underscored. When we try to send the email message with the names of the
lists in the To: field, Outlook tells us that it cannot find the lists.

Completely different problem than one you first posted. I'd start a new
thread with a more accurate title and post in clearer detail what you are
doing so that someone familiar with Exchange and Shared Folders can answer
you.

Please explain where this "Shared Contacts" folder resides and what you mean
by "obtain the distribution lists from their Folders List."

And what does this description have to do with your original statement of
the problem, i.e. that *you* can't send to multiple distribution lists.
