Thank you JoAnne,
This must be (and does seem to be) the answer, well done you!
My older hotmail accounts do work and the newer one does't.
Slightly ironic as the new hotmail.co.uk is a pretty new thing so NONE of
them will work for us UK (YUK) folk with office outlook!!!!! but in the
uk
we are SO used to paying over the odds for things that other countries get
for free or half price ( adobe products in mind! £1500 or $1500 'ish'!
for
the creative video suite, i know which one i would like to pay!)
Would you happen to know if gmail is affected by this same rule?
If so i reckon hotmail will be sacked in favour of gmail !!!!!!!!!
Also JoAnn if gmail does work then you could forward any mail to your
hotmail account to a gmail account and pick that account up IF GMAIL WORKS
and if that function is avasilabe!!!!
Anyway u may know this already! just tryin to be helpful back !
Thank you thank you thank you
Merry Christmas

I don't know if the UK version has the same situation as the US one but
...
since late September 2004, you can no longer use OE to access your
Hotmail
for new accounts. If you already were doing so, you're "grandfathered"
in. I
took over an existing Hotmail account but because I hadn't set it up
prior
to that cutoff date (missed it by about two weeks), I have to read it
thru
the web.
