How do I show gridlines in mailbox window?

I am using Entourage for Mac 2004 on Tiger 10.4.9. I want to be able to
view my mailboxes with vertical lines separating the columns and
horizontal lines separating each message. I have looked everywhere I
can think of in Entourage, searched the internet for it using every
search string I can think of, and have come up empty. I'm sure it is
something very simple to do and I'm just not finding it. Can anyone
help? Thank you!

Under View in the menu bar select Preview Pane-> on the right. This will
give you the 3 pane view. Next you can use Arrange by....to create custom
arrangements of mail.

Hope this is what you are looking for...

As far as I'm aware, that's not possible, aside from placing the Preview
Pane on the right as Diane suggested. Moving from Entourage 2001 where the
messages in the list were separated, in my case, it was a bit of an
adjustment, but that's how it works in Entourage.
