how do i stop spell check in outlook 2000?

recently, when i reply to every message automatically spell-check comes on
asking to modify, change, or ignore words throughout the email.
Unfortunately, it seems to loop back in circles and the spell-check dialogue
box comes up every second or even less time. Does anyone know what might be
the problem or how i can turn of spell-checker completely? I really do not
need it and am pretty good at proofreading beforehand.

Tools > Options > Spelling

uncheck "Always check spelling before sending"/

It was unchecked and the emails are sent as html. The check spelling
dialogue box comes up even before i press send. It comes up when i press
reply from the original message.

Now this may not be outlook specific because it is doing it for Word and
excel, so i am assuming this is more of a global problem within all of office
2000. Hope someone here can still help.
