How do I update a catalog which I created with Merge template

I have created a Catalog and used the catalog merge wizard to import all
fields from a comma delimited text file. All data was successfully imported.
However, I am ready to update the catalog now and have added rows to the
text file for new entries in the catalog. When I open the catalog
publication it does state that "Opening this publication will access data
from location xxxx. Data from this location will be inserted into this
publication where others can read it". However, none of the new (or changed)
data is imported. What am I doing wrong?

Did you convert the merge to a publication in step five of the Merge Wizard?
If you have, you shouldn't be getting the message. Try the cancel merge, tools,
catalog and merge, cancel merge.

Thanks for the quick reply. Although I still must be doing something wrong.
Here are the steps I have gone through.

1. Selected the Mail and Catalog Merge Wizard (Tools -> Mail and Catalog
Merge -> Mail and catalog Merge Wizard)
2. Executed Steps 1 through 4 - selecting the import text file Boxes.txt
(comma delimited) and creating the merge template (sized to 3 elements wide
and 4 elements tall)
3. Executed step 5 and "created new publication".
4. Saved the publication with Name "CeramicCatalog"

I then close out Publisher 2003 and then modify the Boxes.txt file and add a
couple new rows as well as changed a couple rows to test that new data can be
imported into my catalog.

Next I open Publisher 2003. When the file is open the following message is
displayed "Open this publication will access data from the following
location: c:\Boxes.txt. Data from this location will be inserted in this
publication where others can read it. Do you want to continue?"

This is exactly as expected. If I select to continue, the catalog finishes
loading. However, I do not see any of the new rows that I added to the
Boxes.txt file nor any of the small changes to the old rows in the file.

I would have expected my catalog document to be update with the new data.

I'm I missing something?

Once the merge is converted to a publication it will no longer accept new data. It is
something you will have to do manually or start all over again.. You can add a new
merge publication to the old and move the new data to the proper location; i.e.
create a new database, do the merge, covert to publication.
