how do i use windows media player for powerpoint sounds

I can't seem to insert tunes from my media player. I can't use anything
besides the sounds in "my music" file. It used to work, but I must have
changed something by mistake.

What sounds are you trying to insert? Like, what file type are they?

Also, where on the computer are they?
