How do you remove a subproject from a master project?

I am trying to organize a group of independant projects in one location for
me to monitor. I would like to be able to remove projects as they are
completed so I have a running list of active projects. For some reason I
cannot remove subprojects. I have tried removing the link (task
information, Advance Tab, clear check from Link to project, then deleting
the task, but this does not delete the task line, only the reference to the
other project.

Any suggestions. (Project Standard 2003)

Just press the delete key on the field in the master project Gantt chart
view. On the prompt window, select delete the <file> and its subtasks.

Hi Todd,

Have you installed SP-1 for Project 2003? The ability to remove a subtask
was a bug that was fixed. See the KB article:
