How do you tell office to not install speech recognition?

Office keeps wanting to install speech recognition. I don't want it to. I can
not find any place to disable this.

How does one say NO NO NO... and stop asking?

Hi Don,

In Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel bring up the Microsoft Office Choice and in Add/Remove Features set the Speech
and Handwriting choices to 'Not Available'.

Thanks for the reply.
That was what i would have expected, but I can not find the feature in the
list. I have searched several times. It is likely that I am just over looking
it, but I have been through the tree node by node several times and have not
seen it.

Hi Don,

What version of Office are you using?
In Office 2003 once you've selected [Change] on the
Microsoft Office choice in Add/Remove Programs and
then Add or Remove Features, use the [x] Advanced Customization...
check box and it should be listed under

Office Shared Features=>Alternative User Input

Thanks. I think i figured out what was going on. I had office XP installed,
but I had installed frontpage 2003. The frontpage 2003 installation is where
the problem was, but it was manifesting in Excell and Word. I have
reinstealled Frontpage and I think it has corrected the problem.
