For what it's worth I have MSPublisher 2007. I see NOWHERE to change print
color to b&w in order to save on cost of publishing. It seems basic to me to
be able to designate b&w.

In Pub 2007...the following steps
work for my old HP Printer.

File / Print / Properties button /
Publication and Paper settings tab /
Paper Quality tab /
choose...Black and White...
(also, you might want to choose...Draft...to save ink)
OK / Print...

Did it occur to you to recolor the pictures (from within Pub 2007) to
grayscale? I do it all the time.

Places where you can set this:

- As UG says, you could recolour all pictures to greyscale
- As John says, you could set your printer driver to greyscale through
File > Print > Properties or File > Print Setup > Properties
- Alternatively, Tools > Commercial Print Tools > Color Printing >
Single Color
- Or File > (Print or Print Setup) > Printer Details > Advanced Print
Setup > "Print colors as:" Composite Grayscale
