How I use SUMIF & AND

How can I use SUMIF & AND to calculate the values? Here is the issue:

_Column_A___Column_B____Column_C_
east Type A 10
east Type B 15
west Type A 14
west Type B 6
north Type A 12

How can I sum "east" " type A"

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A5="east"),--(B1:B5="type A"),C1:C5)

OR

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A5=E1),--(B1:B5=F1),C1:C5)

...where E1 contains your first criteria, and F1 contains your second.

rajgopal, try something like this, this is an array formula enter with
(ctrl+shift+enter)



=SUM(IF((A2:A10="east")*(B2:B10="type A"),C2:C10))
