how many is too many recipients. . ?

Hello,

I send out group emails to announce particular shows. I am only
sending out to about 20-30 people, and always get too many recipients.
Is this regulated by the email program, or by entourage. If by
entourage, how can I change that?

The only workaround is to go through and manually do emails at say ten
names apiece, but would like to work this out.

thanks

Entourage has no limit. (Entourage IS your email program.) It's your ISP
which has a limit. Phone them up and ask them what it is. Normally it's
50-100 but I once heard of a 20-address limit. That's why I wrote my script
Split Recipients X. It's available at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

Once you know your ISP's limit you set that using the PREFS script, then
run the main script any time you have more recipients.

Cool script, Paul. I didn't know that it existed. I ran into this with
Comcast in the past. I have since registered my own domain, and am handling
all of our family e-mail through my web host's mail servers, so it's no
longer a problem.
