How to add many contacts into one group in once?

I need to know how I can manage to put hundreds of contacts into one group
without adding them individually. For example, I want to create groups
regarding countries of origin. In the search box, when I type England, I get
all the contacts based in England; but then it seems impossible to select all
of them and add them into one group. It is going to take me days if I have to
do it one by one... Please help me! Thanks

If they are in one window, what happens if you do a select all (Command-A)?
You can also Shift click the top and the bottom entry of the list to select
all.

I just did a search for 'noreply', selected all. Next I selected new group.
When the group window opened, it contained all the entries.

To select non continuous entries, if you hold Command key when clicking
selections it will highlight only those entries. You can then drag them into
a group.

I cannot believe it was that simple, I kept going to edit or to contact. It
seems that it doesn't work if you only select a bunch manually. You have to
select it all at once. Thank you so much!
