How to alter access 97 database prog with lost password/login etc

Hi
A colleague of mine had been working on a program based around access 97
which keps records of hours a machine runs, inventory stock levels linked to
fault/maintenance logs and can produce daily, weekly and monthly technical
reports etc. The only problem is my colleague was hurt in an accident and is
no longer with us. We/I would like to continue working to expand the program
which she was doing in spare time but no one can get into the program to
alter any settings etc. Is there a way to do this or to makle a copy which
can then be edited further?
