how to backup large MUD

What's the best way to backup a large MUD. This users MUD is about 1.4 GB
so not possible to burn cd. And Entourage doesn't seem to have an
"archiving" function like Outlook.

Time to buy a DVD recorder or a second hard drive. :)

What about making segments of the file with Stuffit Deluxe?

Another option would be to reduce the size of the database so it will burn
to CD. See Reduce option for ideas.

If ALL the mail is necessary for access, then drag the older files to the
desktop as MBOX files. Create a new identity, drag the MBOX into the new
identity. Your mail can then be easily accessed by switching identities.
